In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and limited job market offerings for junior economists, the Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is excited to offer a unique opportunity for ABD or new PhD scholars committed to developing as scholars and teachers. The department seeks up to two Visiting Assistant Professors to teach three courses per semester with two preparations beginning August 29, 2021. The successful candidate(s) will teach courses in macroeconomics, international economics, and/or econometrics as well as introductory courses.

The Department of Economics is housed within the College of Business Administration, an AACSB accredited business school. Class sizes range from 30-35 students, and our students' average ACT score is 25. Our faculty have access to support for teaching excellence through our Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning and innovative teaching methods and skillful use of High Impact Practices are valued.
