Disability, Employment, and Public Policies Initiative (DEPPI), based at the Department of Economics at Université Laval (Canada), is accepting applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship position. The position is open to recent graduates of PhD programs and junior academics. It will provide opportunities to conduct research aimed at assessing the impact of policies fostering employment of persons with physical disabilities.

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will work to develop and estimate job-search models and conduct policy evaluation of various government programs in partnership with the research team of DEPPI including Professor Charles Bellemare (DEPPI Director), Professor Marion Goussé, and Professor Luc Bissonnette. Administrative data covering all unemployed persons in the province of Québec and survey data covering subjective labor market expectations and networks amongst other topics are available for the analyses. Programming skills are assets for this position. Travel grants will be provided for conferences and off-site work. The position is for one year, starting in September 2021. The position can be extended an additional year based upon satisfactory performance.
