King University, a private, university founded in the Presbyterian tradition, seeks a qualified individual for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Economics in the School of Business, Economics & Technology. This is a full-time, twelve-month position, beginning in fall 2021. This position is based at King’s Bristol campus in northeast Tennessee.

Candidates should possess a terminal degree in Economics with qualification to teach both Economics and Statistics courses with demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Candidates will be expected to teach 12 credit hours each semester (with optional summer semester) in both face-to-face and online formats on strategic and tactical aspects of Economics. Must be willing to advise students, participate in departmental and university service, provide a high level of student outreach and have the availability to connect with students, academic advisors and team leaders on a frequent basis. Candidates must also be engaging, offering an increased and innovative presence in the face-to-face or online classroom to best serve the student and facilitate student success.
