Assistant/Associate Professor Position in Governance of Autonomous Systems

Syracuse University

The Department of Public Administration and International Affairs seeks to hire into a tenured or tenure-track position a social scientist with expertise in regulatory policy design, regulatory policy processes, and/or regulation of risk related to the use and societal impacts of autonomous systems, such as driverless vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles, artificial intelligence (AI), and autonomous decision making. The person hired will be affiliated with the interdisciplinary Autonomous Systems Policy Institute, https://www.maxwell.syr.edu/autonomous-policy/, and will be part of a university wide cluster hire initiative in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems.
