The Center for Education Policy Research's mission is to transform education through the power of quality research and evidence. CEPR partners with school districts, charter school networks, and state agencies to bring high quality research methods and data analysis to bear on strategic management and policy decisions. The Senior Research Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead analytics across multiple projects and across the research life cycle. The Sr. Research Manager will be deeply engaged in the work of Proving Ground and the Strategic Data Project. Responsibilities include:

• Leading the establishment of research questions, study design, grant writing, collection of data, analysis, and writing of reports and academic papers,
• Leading a team of faculty and researchers in developing postsecondary diagnostic analyses and tools,
• Managing CEPR research analysts and coaching SDP Fellows, and
• Developing ideas and strategies for new projects in collaboration with executive leadership.

Qualifications: advanced degree (MA or higher) in education, public policy, economics, or related field (PhD strongly preferred); 2+ years management responsibility; 5+ years experience in quantitative research (including graduate coursework); experience with statistical programming and analysis in Stata and/or R.
