The J. Whitney Bunting College of Business at Georgia College & State University invites applications for the position of Lecturer of Economics beginning August 2021. The Department of Economics and Finance of the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business at Georgia College supports major programs of study as well as other liberal arts programs throughout the university. The interdisciplinary nature of economics lies at the heart of a liberal arts university. Primary teaching duties focus on principles and international economics. The department values research collaboration with undergraduate students.

Qualified candidates for the non-tenured rank as Lecturer of Economics must have a PhD in economics or related discipline from an accredited university. A Ph.D. in economics or related discipline is preferred before the effective date of employment. The successful candidate will be assigned teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate level. The position requires teaching primarily principles of micro and macroeconomics and international economics. The willingness and expertise to teach international trade, international finance and international economic development is a plus. We also value research collaboration with undergraduates and service. Teaching experience is desirable.
