The Institute for International Economics Studies at Stockholm University is pleased to announce the inaugural Assar Lindbeck Fellowship, named in honor of our esteemed former colleague and IIES director, Assar Lindbeck. The Fellowship provides an opportunity for a one-year visit to the Institute (academic year 2021/2022) free of teaching and administrative duties.

The Fellowship is targeted towards
1. those who are currently on the job market and plan to start a full-time tenure-track position at the conclusion of the fellowship
and
2. those who currently hold a full-time tenure-track position at a university or research organization to spend a year on leave.

The Fellowship is open to researchers across all fields of economics.

Assar Lindbeck Fellows are expected to spend a full academic year in residence at the IIES and will receive a competitive salary. The Fellows are expected to participate in the intellectual life of the institute.

Interested applicants should submit an application through Econjobmarket by January 4, 2021. Flyout decisions will be communicated by January 25, 2021. Due to the ongoing pandemic, all flyouts will be conducted virtually in February and March. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae and their job-market paper or papers. In addition, applicants who do not currently hold a full-time tenure-track position in a university or research organization need to submit three confidential letters of recommendation.
