The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia seeks an economist, at either the junior or senior level, to conduct research with a focus on the economics of digital currencies.

Responsibilities include actively engaging in research for publication in top-tier academic journals, briefing the Bank's president on policy issues, and writing occasional nontechnical articles for Economic Insights, our quarterly publication.

Excellent research skills are vital, as are superior writing and speaking skills. Both established research economists and new Ph.D.s are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics or finance or reasonably expect to complete all requirements for the degree by September 2021.
