The Institute of Financial Studies:
The IFS at SWUFE aspires to the highest level of financial research, under the leadership of Philip H. Dybvig and Jun Liu. We now have ten research-active assistant professors, and we seek to expand our group. We back up our commitment to research with a summer program that brings in top scholars to help the local scholars, a light teaching load, and compensation with substantial incentive pay for research success.
SWUFE is located in beautiful Chengdu, a city that is famous for its good food, relaxed atmosphere, and low cost of living. Favorable tax treatment may make a visiting appointment attractive to western scholars seeking a change of venue in an institution highly supportive of research.
