Named one of the top 10 most innovative colleges in the country by U.S. News & World Report. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, Goucher is a private, coed, liberal arts college dedicated to teaching students to be complex problem solvers who are prepared for the jobs of the future.

Goucher College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Economics beginning August 2021. A Ph.D. at the time of appointment and prior teaching experience are required. We are seeking an applied economist who can contribute broadly at all levels of the economics curriculum, especially econometrics and our capstone course. We have an interest in candidates who can contribute courses related to health care and public health; however, we are also interested in applied candidates who can offer electives in labor, development, urban, transportation, or demographic economics. Finally, the candidate should be eager to contribute to college-wide programs (first year seminar and complex problem exploration courses) and be committed to teaching and scholarship in a liberal arts environment. We seek candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to students from diverse backgrounds and a dedication to engaged pedagogies that support equity and student success. The teaching load is 3-2 (20 credits).
