The Rady School invites applications for one or more faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level (tenure-track) in the field of economics. Applicants must have a PhD or be working toward completion of a PhD in economics or a related field by the start of appointment.

This position represents an Excellence Search for Diverse Faculty in Management initiative which seeks to recruit early-career faculty to the Rady School. This initiative seeks to build a more diverse faculty and aims to foster a diverse and inclusive community of scholars to enhance our academic and research missions. In addition to the highest standards of scholarship, teaching, and professional activity, the successful candidate(s) for this position will have potential or demonstrated contributions to a climate that supports equity, inclusion, and diversity. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to helping shape and expand the University's diversity initiatives (http://diversity.ucsd.edu/).

Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on applied behavioral economics with an emphasis on field experiments, data analysis and business school relevant research. Additional preferred qualifications include applicants with emerging scholarly records, demonstrated teaching experience with graduate students and executives, and experience mentoring doctoral students.

Salary and appointment level are dependent on experience and based on University of California pay scales. The position is subject to availability of funding and has an expected start date of July 1, 2021.
