Full Text of JOE Listing:

J-PAL is looking to hire one or more Postdoctoral Associates for two years to conduct research using randomized evaluations to reduce poverty. J-PAL works in ten sectors, including agriculture, education, health, and more.

The post-doc will work with J-PAL affiliated researchers and stakeholders to help synthesize evidence, identify knowledge gaps, and help develop learning agendas for new initiatives. Approximately an equal share of the postdoc's research efforts will be devoted to J-PAL sector and initiative-related projects and to independent research projects. The postdoc will join a cohort of 3-5 other postdocs from J-PAL’s sectors and initiatives. The post doc will be eligible to apply for funding from J-PAL’s research initiatives.

The position offers the opportunity to join a research partnership with a strong track record of high-quality publication and policy impact; is likely to lead to several co-authored papers; and is designed to help the selected candidate launch a successful academic career with a strong research pipeline.
