Political Economy Theory

The Department of Economics at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a tenure track opening, joint with the Department of Political Science, at the Assistant Professor level in the area of formal political economy theory. Economics would be the home department. Vanderbilt stresses excellence in research and teaching in its doctoral, masters, and undergraduate programs. Preliminary interviews will begin on January 6, 2021.

Qualifications

Appointment at the Assistant Professor level at full salary requires a Ph.D. as of August 16, 2021. Faculty duties include the development of a distinguished and visible program of research with broad appeal to both economists and political scientists, as well as teaching in both departments.
