The Population Studies Center (PSC) in the Institute for Social Research (ISR) at the University of Michigan invites applications for a one or two-year post-doctoral fellowship with the Criminal Justice Administrative Records System (CJARS).
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will collaborate with the CJARS PIs to conduct research on crime and criminal justice policy in the United States using this novel data resource. Interested applicants should have substantial experience working with administrative records as well as a substantive interest in the economics of crime.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy or equivalent field with a focus on the economics of crime. Ability to pass a federal background investigation to secure Special Sworn Status with the US Census Bureau. Proven background in analyzing criminal justice administrative data.
