The Department of Economics at the University of Houston invites applications for a promotion eligible, non-tenure track Instructional Assistant Professor position starting in Fall 2021. Our department consists of an innovative group of scholars dedicated to producing top-flight research while training students in the latest techniques in economic analysis. Our department offers BA, BS and PhD degrees in Economics, and MA degrees in Applied Economics with about 600 undergraduate majors. We welcome candidates whose experience in research and teaching has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to excellence and diversity. The primary responsibilities for this Instructional Assistant Professor will be teaching courses at the intermediate and Master’s levels. Experience in and enthusiasm for teaching courses with strong writing, research or quantitative analysis components are preferred.

Additionally, this position is expected to assist with the department's undergraduate major advising activities.
