Birmingham-Southern College (BSC) invites applications for a tenure-track position in macroeconomics at the Assistant Professor level.

BSC, a selective residential liberal arts college, enrolls approximately 1200 undergraduate students. Providing an outstanding undergraduate education is the primary mission of the College, and applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. The College’s curriculum is based on close faculty-student interaction in teaching, advising, and research. Besides teaching core macroeconomic courses, exceptional candidates must demonstrate the ability to contribute to some of the College’s interdisciplinary programs.

Submit a letter of application, CV, statement of teaching philosophy, statement of research interests, copy of graduate transcripts, diversity statement, and three letters of recommendation (two must address teaching) to econsearch@bsc.edu. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The diversity statement should address ways to further the College’s goal of building a diverse educational environment.
