Multiple tenure-track positions are available at the School of Economics (SOE), Jinan University. Applicants for all ranks and from all fields are welcome. We especially welcome scholars with excellence in research and teaching to apply for senior positions.

SOE was founded at Jinan University in 1980, which is one of the earliest economics schools among Chinese universities. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of SOE. For over a century, JNU’s economics discipline has over 40,000 alumni in more than 100 countries and regions around the world. SOE has two national key disciplines (finance, industrial economy). Currently, SOE is composed of 5 departments and one research institute. With a team of 146 full-time faculty members, SOE offers B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. programs in economics and statistics.

Competitive compensation package will be provided commensurate with experience, including competitive salary, research funds, housing allowances, and standard fringe benefits. An ideal candidate is required to show a commitment to high-quality research and teaching in English and/or Chinese. New junior faculty can expect no teaching in their first year. Candidates for assistant professor should have a Ph.D. in hand or firmly expected by August 2021.
