Full Text of JOE Listing:

Social Impact is hiring a Technical Director to design and lead complex, policy-relevant impact evaluations and large-scale surveys. They will play a significant role in proposal development and in creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders among SI’s clients and partners. The TD will be supported by a cohort of accomplished professionals well-versed in quantitative research and statistical analysis.

The TD will serve as Principal Investigator/Team Leader, Chief of Party, or other senior technical roles in leading SI evaluation teams, providing technical quality assurance, introducing and infusing new technical approaches and methods, and representing SI in the wider development community.

The TD will be engaged throughout the evaluation cycle, with responsibilities including conceptualizing evaluation designs, leading scoping trips, designing sampling strategies, developing instruments, overseeing data collection, designing and carrying out analysis, and disseminating results through written reports and conference presentations.

We’re seeking candidates with a minimum of a Master’s degree (ideally a Ph.D.) in economics, statistics, public policy, development, etc. with at least 7-10 years of professional experience. This opportunity is available on either a part- or full-time basis depending on the candidate’s preference.
