Pontarelli Professorship in Environmental Sustainability and Finance

Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs seeks outstanding candidates for the Pontarelli Professorship in Environmental Sustainability and Finance. This is a renewable fixed-term non-tenure-track position for a scholar or experienced practitioner with research or career experience in one or more of the following areas: sustainability and finance, renewable energy, adaptation to climate change and increasing community resilience, environmental risk management, or environmental and energy policy more broadly. Rank and title will be commensurate with qualifications.

Candidates should have a strong record of research, or of linking research to practice, and should have significant promise for teaching, particularly of undergraduates. We are especially interested in candidates with relevant experience in a sector outside academia, including industry, government or the nonprofit sector, and in those whose research, teaching, service, or lived experiences have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in our work with students, colleagues, and wider communities.
