Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI) invite applications for a postdoctoral fellowship with a focus on significant current environmental challenges in China.
The particular environmental challenges of focus will be determined by the postdoctoral fellow in collaboration with other Stanford researchers at SIEPR and FSI. The research goal is to identify and analyze the economic sources of the problem(s) at hand and devise effective and practical policy solutions.
This is a two-year postdoctoral position, starting in the summer of 2021. The ideal candidate must have strong empirical skills and have completed the Ph.D. before August 31, 2021. Previous experience performing environmental-economic research related to China is a plus, but is not a critical qualification. The selected scholar will join Stanford’s economics research community and connect with other postdoctoral fellows and faculty.
SIEPR and FSI value diversity in backgrounds and perspectives. Stanford University is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants must submit the following materials: cover letter, curriculum vitae, job market paper, and three letters of recommendation. For full consideration, please submit all materials by December 1, 2020. Questions about specifics of the fellowship may be sent to Alexis Medina (amedina5@ .
