Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College (CRR) is seeking a full-time Research Economist with a Ph.D. in economics or public policy (to be awarded by August 2021) to study the economics of aging. The ideal candidate will be specialized in any of the following: labor economics; public economics; lifecycle modeling; or health policy for the older population. Candidates must have familiarity with U.S. domestic policy.

The CRR was established in 1998 through a grant from the U.S. Social Security Administration and remains entirely grant funded. Its mission is to produce first-class research and forge a strong link between the academic community and decision-makers in the public and private sectors.

The Research Economist will produce academic papers and other written products, and mentor research associates. In collaboration with other researchers at the CRR, the Research Economist will also develop grant proposals to attract funding from government, corporate, and foundation sources.
