The Economics Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a position in economic theory at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) level (JPF00941). We welcome applications from candidates with significant empirical and experimental research as long as their work makes theoretical contributions or advances innovative methodologies to bring models to the data. The department has a fully equipped lab for running experiments.

Our Department has a Ph.D., a professional Master’s, and several undergraduate programs. Applicants will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; advise/mentor graduate and undergraduate students; contribute to graduate education, the research environment of the department, and to university and professional service; and work with students, faculty and staff from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds.
