The Wesleyan University Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning July 1, 2021 from scholars with primary research and teaching interests in behavioral and experimental economics. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics in hand by the time of appoint in order to be hired as an assistant professor, though a successful candidate may be hired as an Instructor if the candidate on track to complete the degree within one year of hire. The teaching load is four courses per year, typically with two courses in the indicated fields and two courses in the Department’s introductory and major core programs. Additional duties include advising and mentoring students, carrying on a sustained program of research, and participating in faculty governance at the departmental and university levels.
