The Department of Economics at Smith College invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track/tenured position, to begin July 1, 2021. The department seeks a candidate with expertise in research and teaching in labor economics, with an emphasis on topics relating to inequality, discrimination and related labor market policies. Candidates for the rank of Associate or Full Professor must provide strong evidence of scholarly publications or the equivalent in industry/government experience.

Smith College has a 2/2 teaching load. Ph.D. in Economics or relevant field is required by the time of appointment. Faculty from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Details about the Department of Economics may be found at http://www.smith.edu/economics/.
