The WORLD Policy Analysis Center at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health is the world's largest globally comparative law and policy database with more than 2,000 law and policy indicators across 193 countries, making it possible to undertake rigorous, cross-country global comparative research on how laws and policies are affecting health, well-being, and life outcomes across the world.

The Senior Research Analyst will join this team and contribute to an exciting and unique effort to build, maintain, and analyze the first global resource to understand what countries are doing to promote human rights and human development. The SRA will contribute to building this data, working with the research team to capture legal approaches consistently. They will play a vital role within WORLD by using multilevel, difference-in-difference, and quasi-experimental methods to identify the impact of social policy on health and economic outcomes and on reducing inequalities. The SRA will also be engaged in preparing data for public dissemination and use by a wide range of audiences, including but not limited to researchers/academics, policy advocates, civil society, media, students and the public. Strong writing skills are needed to support writing academic publications, policy briefs, fact sheets for the public, and grants.
