The Department of Economics at the School of Law and Economics of the University of Mannheim invites applications to fill the position of
Professor of Economics, Applied Macroeconomics (W3)
limited to a period of five years, starting on August 1, 2021. The limitation is based on § 50 para. 2 p. 1 no. 3 and no. 4 of the Landeshochschulgesetz (LHG) of Baden-Württemberg.
The professor represents the field of applied macroeconomics in research and teaching. We are looking for a macroeconomist broadly defined. Applications from all subfields of macroeconomics are welcome. The professor is expected to teach doctoral candidates at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics of the Graduate School of Economics and Social Sciences and to raise external funding.
The conditions for an appointment are stipulated in section 47 of the Act on Higher Education of the Land of Baden-Württemberg (LHG). Applicants are requested to provide proof of a higher education degree, pedagogical aptitude, a doctorate and additional academic achievements proven by a habilitation or equivalent academic achievements from within or outside of the higher education sector.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a temporary civil servant if all prerequisites are met.
