Vega Economics is a premier economic consulting firm specializing in economic analysis and quantitative solutions. We primarily cater to legal and corporate clients, offering a broad range of economic and statistical analyses designed to address the unique issues and challenges faced by our clients.

Vega consists of versatile problem-solvers from a variety of backgrounds including economics, statistics, finance, and law. Vega’s consultants include both Ph.D. economists and industry practitioners who work alongside a diligent and detail-oriented staff in support of in-house experts and our extensive network of industry and academic affiliates.

We are seeking Ph.D. economists for our Berkeley headquarters. Ideal candidates possess (or are expecting) a Ph.D. in economics and strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Consultants are involved in all stages of case work and are expected to:

• Apply academic research to economic and financial analyses
• Develop and implement analysis for real-world issues
• Formulate project strategy and lead teams
• Assist academic and industry experts
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients
• Work with large datasets using statistical software such as Stata, R, or Matlab
