The Department of Economics at Shippensburg University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2020. We seek an applied microeconomist who can develop and teach courses in economic analysis of big data. The teaching load is a mix of principles courses and upper-level electives. In addition, faculty members are expected to perform other duties as assigned in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement with APSCUF (Association of Pennsylvania State College & University Faculties).

Candidates must receive Ph.D. in Economics from an accredited institution by August 2020 and be able to provide evidence of excellence in teaching and research. As part of a successful on-campus interview process, candidates will be expected to provide a demonstration of teaching effectiveness and evidence of understanding diverse populations.
