Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Data Science faculty position in the Department of Economics, Finance and Quantitative Analysis that begins August 2020.

Candidates must have an established research agenda aligned with a demonstrated ability to generate extramural funding. Particular areas of interest include financial and operational risk, consumer segmentation, financial economics, econometrics, time series, or market basket analysis. A record of peer-reviewed publications and demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary, collaborative academic setting are essential.

Because the position will be closely aligned with the Ph.D. Program in Analytics and Data Science, candidates will be expected to work with doctoral students in the context of research advisement, serving on dissertation committees, and teaching at the doctoral level. Candidates will be expected to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment with students and faculty from multiple colleges. Ideal candidates will also have demonstrated success working with collaborators from outside academia. The successful candidate is expected to teach and develop a broad range of courses addressing the current issues in data science. Service to the institution is required. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Data Science, Quantitative Analysis, Economics, Finance, a related field or its foreign equivalent. Ability to teach courses associated with data science and analytics.
