Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics is recruiting for a term faculty position starting in August 2020. The position is open to any field, but preference will be given to candidates with research interests in the fields listed above. The successful candidate should be able to teach a range of undergraduate courses, including Micro and Macro principles. The anticipated teaching load is 3-3 and the Department Chair will seek to align courses to minimize prep time so the individual can still be successful in research. Candidates with the potential to be successful in both teaching and research preferred, but we will also consider outstanding teachers who do not have a strong research record.

Qualifications (Required):
1. Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field, or expected completion by Fall 2020.
2. Ability to teach a range of undergraduate courses.
3. Effective communication skills.

Qualifications (Preferred):
1. Ability to teach online courses
2. Strong analytical, research, statistical, and quantitative skills.
3. Strong economic modelling skills.
4. Ability to write clearly, professionally, and persuasively.
5. Interest in pursuing an active research agenda
