The Department of Economics & Finance at the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Economics starting Fall 2020. The Candidate is expected to teach primarily in the undergraduate program and to conduct research leading to quality refereed publications. A solid background in econometrics and a programming language such as Python is preferred.
Qualifications: A terminal degree in Economics or a related field is required. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in Financial Economics, and/or Monetary Economics. ABDs will be considered, but must finish their Ph.D. by August 15, 2020. Salary will be commensurate with scholarly activity and demonstrated ability to teach.
Qualified candidates are requested to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae including a list of courses taught, teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching effectiveness, statement of research, copies of scholarly work and three letters of reference.
