Oregon State University (OSU), Oregon’s land-grant research university and the state’s only institution to hold both the Carnegie Foundation’s top designation for research institutions and its prestigious Community Engagement classification, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the role of the Sara Hart Kimball Dean of the College of Business.

The new Dean will lead a values-driven college that has experienced strong growth and is ready for a dynamic, strategic leader to leverage its untapped potential. As part of a trailblazing R1 research institution, the College seeks a creative thinker who is comfortable operating beyond functional silos and who is excited by boundary-spanning opportunities. The College of Business is uniquely focused on innovation in improving outcomes for student success, before and after graduation. The exceptionally dedicated, entrepreneurially-minded, and collaborative faculty and staff truly value and seek to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion in all their activities, and particularly by modelling and instilling in students the values of dignity, respect, and responsibility. OSU’s main campus is located on 400 acres in Corvallis, Oregon, about 90 miles south of Portland. Oregon State has a growing second campus—OSU-Cascades—in Bend, Oregon, as well as the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, a new facility in downtown Portland, 15 Agricultural Experiment Stations, and 35 county Extension offices. Its presence extends to every one of Oregon’s 36 counties and it provides online education worldwide through its highly-ranked Ecampus. Oregon State experienced a record number of students for the fall 2019 term, enrolling 32,774 students, over 24,000 of which enrolled at the main campus in Corvallis. OSU is one of only two universities in the country to hold the Land, Sea, Space and Sun Grant designations.
