Washburn University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Economics to begin August 2020. This is a full-time 9-month, tenure track position. A completed Ph.D. is required by the time of tenure track appointment. The School of Business is accredited by AACSB International and serves more than 600 BBA, MBA, and MAcc students. Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Economics. (ABDs will be considered if substantial progress has been made toward completion of the dissertation.)
• Experience teaching economics or business statistics.
Responsibilities:
• Teach a full-time teaching workload, which is currently three courses per semester in the School of Business.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses as assigned, which currently include courses such as Macroeconomics, Introduction to Economics, Business Statistics, and economics electives.
• Advise students.
• Commitment to research commensurate with AACSB accreditation.
• Engage in service activities in the department and to the university, profession, and/or community.
