North Dakota State University’s Department of Human Development and Family Science, in conjunction with the Sheila and Robert Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth, invites applications for a nine-month, tenured or tenure-track position, rank open, with a focus area in child and family policy, to begin in August 2020. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strong program of research related to enhancing economic opportunity and promoting human flourishing through institutions and policies focused on families and children. Possible areas of focus include but are not limited to: childcare availability, affordability, and quality; long-term effects of pre-K education; consumer policy/family financial issues; and starting and sustaining family businesses. The person in this position will also teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise undergraduates and graduate students, and disseminate accessible research-based information and training throughout the state and region. Support associated with the position includes start-up funds, graduate assistantships, course buyouts, and summer research support.
