CBO, a nonpartisan agency that provides the Congress with objective, timely analyses of the federal budget and the economy, seeks an Assistant Director and a Deputy Director in our Health, Retirement, and Long-Term Analysis Division. Both positions require an advanced degree in economics, public health, health policy, or a closely related discipline.

The Assistant Director must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in policy analysis related to health care.

The Deputy Assistant Director must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in policy analysis related to health care or retirement issues.

These positions will work in the division to analyze issues and policies in the areas of health care and health care financing and Social Security. They will oversee research and modeling including the development of reports produced by a staff of about 30 analysts, the majority of whom have a Ph.D. in economics or a related discipline.
