Applicants must be committed to teaching at the undergraduate level, have an active research agenda, mentor students, share responsibilities for committee assignments, and have a desire to join an interdisciplinary department. An interest in teaching the economics of innovation/entrepreneurship is a plus. Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. by August 2020.

Please include a cover letter, vita, copies of graduate transcripts, teaching evaluations if available, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent to Tinni Sen, Chair, Search Committee. In the cover letter, please discuss how you design and teach courses.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until November 15, 2019. We will interview at the AEA meetings in January.

VMI is a public, residential, four-year college, where teaching excellence is the first priority. The teaching requirement is three courses per semester. The department is AACSB-International accredited. Faculty who are US citizens wear military uniforms and observe military courtesies, but no prior military experience is required or expected.
