The Economics Department within the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University seeks applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We seek a candidate with teaching and research interests in applied microeconomics.

Applications must be submitted online through WVUHire at careers.wvu.edu and should contain 5 documents: cover letter, curriculum vita, job market paper, summary of teaching effectiveness, reference list. Review of applications will begin in October 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.

A successful candidate is expected to produce high-quality scholarship for leading economics journals, serve on dissertation committees, participate in the department’s PhD program, and teach undergraduate courses.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in economics or related field by the time of appointment in August of 2020.
