Subject to budgetary approval, the Department of Economics expects to have a tenure eligible opening at the assistant professor level to begin Fall 2020. We seek a candidate with a primary field in either Monetary Economics or International Finance and a preference for a secondary field in applied econometrics. Our preference is for a candidate who can teach classes in all three. The candidate is expected to have completed a Ph.D. in Economics by September 2020. Candidates are required to have strong potential for quality teaching and strong potential for quality research publications. We prefer candidates with demonstrated strong written communication skills and a willingness to teach at least one online section per year. The current teaching load for a newly appointed assistant professor is two courses per semester. These may be at the undergraduate or master’s level. Salary is competitive, commensurate with education and experience.
