The Department of Economics in the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia is seeking to fill one or more full-time tenure track or tenured faculty positions at the assistant and/or associate and/or full professor level in economics. There is a strong preference for candidates with an interest in teaching econometrics. The position will begin fall semester 2020, with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2020.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related discipline, from an AACSB accredited institution or international equivalent, at the time of appointment. For information regarding the requirements for each faculty rank, please see the University of Georgia Guidelines for Appointment, Promotion & Tenure at https://provost.uga.edu/faculty-affairs/promotion-tenure/. A research record commensurate with rank is required for all candidates. Assistant level candidates should show promise of moving toward excellence in teaching. Demonstrated excellence in teaching economics at the graduate and/or undergraduate level is also required to be considered at the Associate and Full Professor level. To be eligible for tenure on appointment, candidates must be appointed as an associate or full professor, have been tenured at a prior institution, and bring a demonstrably national reputation to the institution. Candidates must be approved for tenure upon appointment before hire.
