Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) is seeking candidates to be employed as Economists. Candidates must demonstrate the potential to contribute substantially to research and policy analyses of interest to the Central Bank. The successful candidates will be expected to carry out both directed and independent policy-relevant research, and contribute to the formal policy making process. In addition, there will be opportunities to work with internationally renowned scholars under the CBRT’s research agenda. Strong presentation skills are required along with excellent analytical, quantitative, and written skills.

As well as actively contributing to the policy making process by presenting their research to the policymakers, economists at the Central Bank are encouraged to present their work at local and international conferences and to publish in academic journals. We provide generous research and travel support as well as access to ever-growing extensive economic, financial and firm-level administrative data. We have an active and stimulating research environment. We regularly host seminar programs and conferences which bring together experts from leading research institutions and universities.

Candidates must be Turkish citizens.Applicants are expected to hold a doctoral degree by the end of 2020.The position offers a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package.
