The Department of Economics seeks to fill a position at either the advanced assistant or associate level. The department has six areas of specialization offered in our graduate program: Macroeconomics, International Economics, Public Economics, Labor Economics, Industrial Organization, and Health/Environmental Economics. The successful candidate may be ABD with expected completion of PhD by Fall 2020 or a PhD in economics or related field. While we welcome outstanding applicants from any of these fields, preference will be given to applicants with a focus on Industrial Organization. We seek faculty with an appointment at the associate (with tenure) or advanced assistant professor (tenure track) rank. The successful candidate must have a strong record of scholarly accomplishment and teaching.

The appointee will be an affiliate of the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise. The mission of the institute is to generate intellectually rigorous, policy-relevant research and open dialogues to understand how free enterprise affects peoples’ lives and the societal well-being. Active participation in the institute’s activities, which include disseminating research to the public and hosting events featuring external speakers, is expected.
