The Department of Economics of Bowdoin College invites applications for a tenure-track position in applied econometrics combined with any one of the applied fields listed above. Successful applicants will use applied econometrics in their research and would be able to teach such methods to undergraduates without relying on linear algebra. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Successful candidates will be expected to teach “Economic Statistics and Econometrics” and “Advanced Econometrics” as well as courses in their applied field.

The position will start July 1, 2020. Hiring for this position is expected to be at the rank of assistant professor or instructor, although there is the possibility of hiring at a more senior level for exceptional candidates. Ph.D. in hand by date of appointment is preferred; advanced ABDs will be considered.
