Position Description and Duties

The Department of Economics and Business in the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at the City College of New York seeks candidates for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of management, effective for Fall 2020. Candidates will be expected to engage in high quality research with the potential to influence and advance academic research within their field. Candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate - and graduate-level classes in management.

Outstanding scholars within all fields of management are welcome to apply, especially candidates specializing in digital strategy and innovation. A doctoral degree (PhD, DBA) in a management-related discipline is required. Candidates should have demonstrated potential for producing and publishing high-quality management research, the capacity to work with interdisciplinary groups, and the ability to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level management courses. Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative research skills and background in computational social science. Experience with obtaining grant support for research is also highly recommended.
