Located 36 miles east of Atlanta on the original campus of Emory College, Oxford College of Emory University invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics positions beginning August 2020. Applicants from all fields will be considered with preference for one of the positions given to candidates with a focus in the field of health. The ideal candidate for both positions will have teaching experience that demonstrates a commitment to the teacher-scholar model and willingness to be innovative in the adoption of high-impact pedagogies. The ability to teach both microeconomics and macroeconomics at the principles and intermediate level is required. The candidates’ research agenda should include opportunities to involve select students in research and will benefit from the resources of Emory University and collaboration with colleagues in the Economics Department of Emory College of Arts and Sciences. Teaching load: three courses/semester with course enrollments of twenty-eight or fewer students.

Candidates must demonstrate a genuine desire to teach in a liberal arts environment that emphasizes close student-faculty interaction and have PhD in hand or firmly expected by August 2020. Short-listed candidates will be invited to interview at the 2020 ASSA meetings.
