Oxford College/Emory University invites applications for tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Quantitative Theory and Methods, beginning August 2020. Emory’s Institute for Quantitative Theory and Methods (IQTM; quantitative.emory.edu) promotes teaching, learning, and quantitative analysis across disciplines, offering four interdisciplinary undergraduate degrees and one minor. The successful candidate would teach core coursework in these majors, including Probability and Statistics (QTM 210) and two one-credit courses introducing statistical computing using R(QTM 150/151). May also include Introduction to Scientific Methods (QTM 110), a quantitative elective, or a course in candidate’s disciplinary area. Areas of research interest/expertise open. Teaching, scholarship, and service expected; load is equivalent to three courses/semester.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in social science discipline with emphasis on quantitative methods or Ph.D. in Statistics by appointment. Demonstrated commitment to and record of teaching excellence and active engagement in scholarship.
