The Department of Economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position, starting in August 2020. We expect to hire at the Clinical Assistant Professor level. This position involves substantial teaching responsibilities in a wide range of both lower and upper level undergraduate courses. This position also involves significant program-building activities and departmental service responsibilities related to the School’s undergraduate economics degree programs. The ideal candidate will have an interest in or even experience with developing online and hybrid courses. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in Economics prior to start date.

Preference will be given to applicants with considerable teaching experience. Teaching experience or the ability to teach courses in any or several of the following areas at the undergraduate level are a plus: international economics, industrial organization, applied quantitative analysis, and development economics, while at the same time being a prominent player in core courses (principles of macroeconomics, principles of microeconomics, and/or global economics).

Salary is negotiable, based on qualifications and experience. Applicants should send a curriculum vita, a brief statement of teaching philosophy, three reference letters, and samples of teaching evaluations.
