Position Summary:
The La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a high performing faculty member who will conduct research and be committed to teaching core topics in state and local public finance, as well as regional, state, and local economic development. Public policy scholars, who have an emphasis on economics, are particularly encouraged to apply.

Principal Duties:
Successful candidates will be expected to teach core and elective courses at the undergraduate and masters/graduate level, lead a scholarly research program, perform university and professional service, interact with the media and public officials, and engage in public outreach.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
Ph.D. focused on state and local development/public finance, and in a related field, required prior to the start of the appointment.

Minimum Number of Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Applicants should demonstrate excellence and productivity in research and a commitment to teaching. Appointment at the tenured level requires evidence of excellence in scholarly research, teaching and service and requires review by the Social Sciences Tenure Committee at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
