The Department of Economics at Emory University announces a special initiative to recruit excellent economists with a strong commitment and history of mentoring students from underrepresented and underserved populations. The cluster hire will contribute to our commitment to excellence and diversity in the College of Arts and Sciences. Emory University, located in Atlanta, GA, is consistently ranked among the best institutions in the U.S. and is home to many first rate programs.

Our cluster hire involves four positions:

1 tenured or tenure-track open rank (assistant associate or full professor),
2 tenure-track advanced assistant professor, and
1 lecture-track faculty.

Emory is a leading private university recognized internationally for its outstanding undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences as well as its graduate and professional schools. Together ECAS and the university’s seven graduate / professional schools feature renowned faculty and offer more than 70 undergraduate and 40 graduate degree programs, with an enrollment of nearly 15,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Our department has a focus in core areas of economics and is one of the most productive programs in research output and publications in top journals. Junior candidates must have a distinguished record of scholarly activities and accomplishments and an active research agenda. Candidates for all positions must have a PhD and a record of teaching excellence. The qualified candidates must have a record of teaching and mentorship of students of diverse backgrounds.
