The Center for Health Systems Effectiveness at Oregon Health & Science University seeks applicants for a faculty position for an Assistant or Associate Professor (Research) for a 12-month appointment beginning September 1, 2020. Applicants must have a PhD in economics or a related field such as public policy, health services research or health economics by September 1, 2020. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong analytic skills and backgrounds in machine learning, Medicaid, payment reform, and social determinants of health. Applicants should demonstrate a strong record or promise of publication, interest in or evidence of obtaining extramural funding, and strong potential to sustain a successful research program relevant to the mission of the center.

The Center for Health Systems Effectiveness, created in 2011, includes faculty members with PhDs in economics and statistics and a research staff with diverse academic backgrounds and experience, focused largely on quantitative analyses of large datasets. Our research partners include Medicaid agencies, employers, and health systems, and clinical researchers in the Northwest. We have particular strengths in the areas of payment reform and Medicaid policy.

Initial interviews will be conducted at the 2020 ASSA/AEA conference in San Diego and/or via Skype.
