Industrial Organization and Applied Microeconomics

We invite applications to be the inaugural holder of the James Langenfeld Professorship in Industrial Organization, with a fall 2020 starting date. This is a tenured full professor position, but we will also consider tenured associate candidates. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field; their research portfolio must include industrial organization or a closely related field in empirical microeconomics. Candidates must have an active, internationally recognized research agenda and a commitment to excellent teaching. Applications should include a CV, three letters of reference, and research papers. Applicants should also submit evidence of their teaching ability. Priority will be given to applications received by November 15, 2019. The position involves such responsibilities as teaching, research aimed at publication in peer-reviewed economics journals, graduate advising, and departmental and university service.
